John, there is no need to appologise to anyone - there are things happening in peoples lives that are more important than a couple of days which i have been unable to monitor the forum (which is why we had a VERY minor spam attack).

For those that have been patient & supportive then i thank you.

Access issues will be sorted this evening for those who have not got their passwords - if you do not have an email in 5 hours from this post then send me a message.

The sites looking good. I know it will be a while to get up and running, but I'm looking forward to accessing the Database.

Just a thought, as its a TR Drivers Forum, what about putting next to the user name if someone is a member of the club?

Cheers,
Dave

I am happy that you have the new forum running, but as someone whose sightis not as good as it used to be I would like to make a couple of comments

The sloping script type font used on the individual sub-forum is not as easy to read as a plainer font, even though it is most certainly attractive.

The light orange used for all the heading fonts is not easy to read on my new Lenovo laptop. c as darker colour.

Cheers anyway and hope for many years more of the forum

Howard

It didn't ask me if I wanted to change my password :( . I could do with changing it _ the one sent to me via email is ridiculous. Mind you - Bletchley code breakers would struggle with it :P

'T' has been in contact with me, he's been having trouble getting in, he has applied for a new password twice without a result. Could someone please organise one for him?
Cheers.

Thanks for that.
The above email address is not the one I have for Toby, so I've emailed him to ask if that is a valid address.

I wasn't complaining about the spam. Perhaps I had it wrong, but I thought part of the reason for the change was spam resistance, to make life easier for the moderators.

If the cost of having the forum is sifting through a bit of spam, I'm happy to sift.

Thanks for the offer - you maybe called upon!

The idea to change was to update the forum (both in style and technical back-end) and to be able to open to new members, which now account for 5% of the current record 4000+ members.

More back-end changes are programmed over the next 3 years, along with the 'photo' sections and 'TR Database'.

Shortly we are going to launch the 'Ask the Experts' area where the stupid & ill-informed (like me!) can ask people who know thier onions as they earn a living from TR7s and TR8s. Already agreed to man this section is Steve Wilcox (S+S Preparations) who has over 30 years working on the marque. Hopefully we will add to the panel from both sides of the Pond and Down-Under!

I just wanted to say how good it is to see the TR7 Forum thriving again and heading for the sort of activity it enjoyed years ago. Great news and well done everybody.

Hi,

Best man for the job, look forward to reading this section,

Cheers John
