OK, I have to ask. Why are you bothering to replace the fiberglass front? Originality? Or is there some reason not shown on the pictures?

Who makes a fiberglass nose? I need one for the FHC.

Rimmers do for one. About £100 GBP cheaper than The Heritage metal one. As long as it comes off without damage mine will be up for grabs, maybe this year but maybe next. Why do I not want a fibreglass nose? The same reason I don't want a glass eye or a wooden leg!

Those fibreglass front panels are excellent. I had one on my car for years (only cost £45 back then) and no one ever identified it as plastic. They don't rust, they fit perfectly and they don't look any different to the metal ones once fitted.

Got rid of mine too though because I wanted the car back to its original state.

I agree John, the fit isn't bad although it could be better. Aside from the fact I have always hated fibreglass (on cars) it has been painted with aerosol. Although pretty much rust free the car really would benefit from a total repaint. The front panel will be restored to original before painting, it would be daft not to.

Update. All Carmels documents lost for the last 6 weeks have been found. MOT has been passed. She'll be taxed from 1st April and I'll put some miles on her to see what I've got! Drove her back from the MOT - oddly different to Vicki, didn't feel at home at all behind the wheel. Early days though.
