I think John Wood will be starting a register of cars built at each of the factories.

New car looks good John, really pleased you got it & will return it to it's original spec.

Can Speke built V8s join the new faction? [:D]

On the 4 vs 5 speed issue. I put a 5 in mine and I definately like the 5 better. [:)] However the 3.9 ratio rear has got to go! [V]

Almost had a rust free, just painted, new interior, new alloys, Speke 4 speed coupe for $600 but it slipped through my fingers due to lack of timely info. One that got away. I agree that 5 speed is nice if you use the Pennzoil Synchromesh oil, their Synthetic version of it didn't work. The 3.90 rear end is a bit low for first gear which is good for parades and starting out at low engine speeds. A 3.45 would work nicely if it partners with 9 to 1 pistons. Maybe some year.

My Speke "Vicki" is 4 speed, can't say i'm a huge fan of that when I was driving her regular last summer. I'll try and aquire the taste for the 4-speed box when she's back on the road.

I'm only driving WAC at the moment (Speke ACN TR8)and MYE (Speke European Launch Brochure TR7 turned circuit racer) slumbers under her blankets.. The economic slowdown has caused a TR7/8 Project slowdown. All 3 are Speke Coupes and all 3 are capable of being roadworthy.

Next year is the 35th anniversary of the TR7s introduction, maybe 35 Speke cars in a display at Billing next year.

That would be a great idea Chris.

Count me in as I'll be using the 77 coupe next year.

What a site that would be !!!

Include the Sprints and ACN cars

Let's do it please.

Roy
