With all the lights off in the garage, go around to the back of the car and look up into the plate light covers. If there is light coming from the one on the left, then the truck light cut-off tab bolt has come loose and let the tab swivel down. Turn on the lights in the garage, open the boot, and check the tab up on the left hinge. Realign the tab in the retaining hole and tighten the bolt.

Clay, funny you should mention that trunk light. I discovered the trunk light issue on my car last month in a very dark campground in Idaho, on my way to North Carolina.
My old stereo, now gone, also had a light that was always on, even with the ignition off. I continue to disconnect the battery for long-term storage...

I never leave my battery connected when I put the TR in the garage, even for short periods. For long periods at the very least it would simply wear the clock, (yes my original quartz clock works & restarts perfectly- I want to keep it that way). Aside from any fire risk of a connected battery, on a previous TR7 I once had the horn come on permanently due to a failed relay. It's surprising what is actually still connected even with the ignition off.

I do have one of the Ultimate speed (Lidl) conditioners attached to the garage wall. It really is superb.
