Well, I really lucked out. When I went to the salvage yard a couple of weeks ago to pick up a 5 speed gearbox from an '80 car my plan was to put it into the '76 car and keep the 3.63:1 differential that comes with the 4 speed. But whilst there I also picked up the differential since it was so cheap. I thought it was a 3.90:1 since my other '80 TR7 has that unit. But after learning from the Wedge Shop how to find the correct diff codes I see I bought a 3.45:1. So that's even better.

Unfortunately, I just replaced the brake cylinders and shoes in the 3.63:1 and now it will probably end up in the salvage yard. So it goes. It's only money.
