But, you have inspired me this sunny Saturday morning. After breakfast I'm going out to the machine shed and apply a coat of wax so slick, when you lean on it your hand slides off as you fall on the ground.

Before anyone knocks the TR Drivers Club have a look at the guys who spend their free time monitoring & maintaining this forum - strangely the same names crop up.
If you don't want to join a Club thats fine - I joined & met a great bunch of fellow like minded TR7 Owners even in the pouring rain.
Zip lock bags are fine - I don't need to wax polish mine much & it gets dried after a trip out in the rain when put back inside !
