Having great problems selling the 6 project.
Might have to go to the crusher

Noooooo! Damn, if I wasn't so poor right now I'd surely give it a good home. I already have garage space taken up by the TR8, my stepdaughter's '87 300ZX turbo project, and soon will have to squeeze my other step-daughter's '64 Ranchero in somewhere. I've done next to nothing on the TR8 over the last year and who knows when I'll get a chance to do anything with the 300ZX. Did I mention before how much I miss my '71 TR6? What do you want for it? Have you posted it with Tyee, BCTR, and the PTOA? I really hope you find a home for it soon.

Don, I posted a link to your Craig's List ad on the PTOA's Yahoo group. I really wish I could afford to help you out. Hopefully someone else will be able to. Did I mention that I really miss my '71 TR6? Good luck and fingers crossed.

Don,

Sorry to hear you're leaving the NW before we managed to meet. What's the draw in SC? Have you thought about trying to sell your 6 at the Portland Historics? That's where I found my 8. One of these days our paths may still cross; my wife and I have friends and family scattered between Florida and DC. A retirement dream of mine is a Wedge trip across the States. Hope you'll remain here on the forum.

If it's not too late I'll try to drum up some interest at next club meeting (third Thursday in month). Lots of cars came from States including my Spider and Ron's Orange Rag. You don't want to send it to crusher. Mid restoration cars are the hardest to get rid of. That's were I got my 23,000 mile Yellow TCT from for $100. Guy tried to sell it for almost two years.

Don,

I towed my MG to Alaska with my little Jeep; you could probably tow the TR6 to SC with your TR8...

One thing my wife has never done is say a WORD about all the thousands of dollars I spend on my cars.
If I brought up the fact I want to rent a trailer and tow that thing from here to there.
I think she might actually curse at me[:I]

My wife's standard answer is "no." A couple of weeks later, she sometimes says, "if that's what you really want, I guess it's okay." That's how I got my TR8. Of course, it helped that I had recently sold my airplane project.

A man should have his car project, his airplane project and his boat project. That's all I have to say.

Of course if he has a wife like Ken's, who tends to limit him to one project, there is just a chance he might actually finish one.

This is only OK if it is not some domestic project like re doing a bath room or some such.

Oh, there are lots more projects: the MG, the TR6, the Volvo, the house, the cabin. And of course, the 93 year old father ...
