Before you throw that hard top away, try fitting the rear window and sailing it down the Taff.[:D]

rear window is fine thankyou kel..... took it out myself to tie on car roof, replaced the front seal today temporarily with one off the soft top and it closes without the creaking cracking sound now, just rear seal to sort....

and side windows on this, do look odd but ones on car have been sealed as you can see a skim of filler round them, but the glass has genuine rimmer stickers on them, well they did, so can only assume the opening windows were sealed for some reason, as to originality, have heard some had them some didnt so maybe converted at source, all be it badly. the lining inside is done to go with the top as it is anyway.

all i know is it rained yesterday and when i got in the car today my bum was dry........ first time since i had the car[:D]

had planned going to shepton but as plans are they have changed and now chauffering the wife around, bought the hardtop secretly so couldn't really say no...... that drive round monmouth/caldicot etc that was posted earlier in week is on tomorrow too.

Believe that Rimmers purchased the manufacturing rights for the TR7 hardtop from Lenhams and that at about that time the opening side windows were deleted, presumably to reduce costs. Shame as they seem a neat option. A closed cell foam gasket to the rear was standard on the Rimmer set up. I am reasonably sure that the apertures for the windows were the same, so I would guess that the windows could be made to open with some work and parts.
