<font size="2"><font face="Comic Sans MS">Here in Oz wire is measured in mm<font size="1">2</font id="size1"> but sometimes it's referred to in gauge sizes.
Sheet metal is measured in mm (thickness) but sometimes it too is referred to in gauge sizes.
Shotgun bores are measured in gauge sizes, with the exception of the .410 which it's bore is measured in imperial calibre size.
Other firearm bores are measured in either metric or imperial calibre sizes depending of the measuring system in use at the time of manufacture in their country of origin. </font id="Comic Sans MS"></font id="size2">
