Rimmer Brake Kit Discs

Postby Spike » 23 Jun 2017 17:50

hi all,

bought a second hand Rimmer brake kit, and looking on their site it appears to be https://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID007426 this one.

Does anybody know what the discs and pads are from?

Toyota from memory

Just get the hat height, diameter and thickness, most brake shops can compare those stats and identify it.

Found it in my old PC files

The Rimmers Big Brake kit uses Toyota 2.8 Supra rotors. 1981 to 85 model. There will be more modern cars that use them, I guess, but this is what their kit with the SD1 Vitesse 4 pots used to use.

Rimmers part number was RB7117 I think

It could also be a Princess derived set up. Depends how old the kit is.

Just double, double checked, and it's the Vitesse kit.
