Siezed Tie rod bolt

Postby g4zur » 16 Nov 2015 19:34

Hi All
The bolt securing the nearside tie rod to the subframe spins easily nut off. But for some reason can't get the bolt out.
Could someone please help.
Many thanks as always.

I'm guessing he means steering rack to subframe. If that is the case, typically the way to remove a rust bolt (that isn't screwed into threads) is to put on nut in till it sits just past the bolt (maximum threads contacting without exposing bottom of bolt) and tap with a hammer until it is free. Wear your ear protection as always.
