Postby qac » 18 Jul 2014 04:28

the 4 -2.2 bulbs incandescent w/a green cap can be replaced with:
A 9 LED BULB in green
order from www.autolumimation.com a t10 wedge item # smt11 tower (t94t) in green its 4 sided w/1 on top. discard the green cap .all other bulbs ,turn ign., low gas are ok .
cost 9.99each =39.96 +6.s/h
a bit costly but you can see the light in day time

I did the same with mine. If you look on ebay, you can buy some of the bulbs in lots of 10 pretty cheap - and free shipping. For a some of the smaller bulbs, I think I paid $2 or $3 for 10 bulbs.

Stevie_a did you upgrade the bulbs that light up the labels under the switches? (Headlights, flashers, etc.)

Bloody hell, hi posted a decent vid link of bulb upgrades about 4 posts down and got no sodding replies. Hurt!

In response to the last post, single or triple SMD bulbs can be purchased for the centre console illumination strip. On mine I sanded away the BL green paint and used green bulbs instead.

Basically, this crap cost peanuts on flea-bay. Buy it and try

This is something that I am thinking about doing when I have a bit of time and when I have my existing list of jobs down a bit. At the moment I have just fitted the oil pressure gauge where the clock was. While the dash was out I fixed the light on the left hand side of the dash. Now it works all the time and not just when I tap the dash really hard lol. So for the moment, I am going to relish in the glory of a job well done [:D] But it will be done soon.
