Celebs with a TR7

Postby Roy Hankins » 09 Mar 2014 18:20

I always did like Noel Edmonds.I used to spend many a happy Saturday morning with him back in the 1970s watching the multi coloured swapshop. Mind you the lure of Sally James and the Tiswas gang on the other side was a constant distraction for a teenage boy.[:I]

Anyone else know of any so called celebrities who have been pictured with or have owned a TR7 ?

We used to see Benjamin at group meetings a few years ago, last time I saw his car it was in at Robsport having some work done - he has spent loads of money on the engine and interior and now has a rather special car.

Cheers

Alex Riley formerly Top Gear presenter and now on the One show uses his Persian Aqua TR7 convertible on a regular basis, he came over to Sheffield at the weekend to visit his parents.
Mick Hucknall had one of only 2 real leather interiors made by Gallow and Maddox fitted in his TR7.
Benjamin has now replaced his Sprint engine with a V8.

Perhaps Noel Edmonds told him how good they are [:D]

I remember ex Southampton Fc and boyhood here Steve Williams having one back in the day. I remember hanging around the old Dell car park waiting for the players to drive in to grab an autograph. How I wanted to be like Steve Williams, a good looking talented footballer driving a TR7,with lot's of female company hanging around. It doesn't get much better than that.

I too remember Kenny Burns Simon. Not as good looking as Williams mind.[:p]
