I fitted a new pump and O ring but still have the drip. I think its a characteristic of the car!

Yup, looks like that's it. There are three o rings. Not a big job and cheap to fix. Not to worry. You'll need a smaller split pin for the pressure relief (don't like reusing them as they' re so cheap). Check the pressure relief spring for wear, I have heard of one breaking resulting in low oil pressure although that was probably one in a thousand.
