Cam Chain Tensioner

Postby Stag76 » 26 May 2013 08:26

Has anybody used the type of tensioner that doesn't have a hole to allow the oil to enter the cylinder. The one I have has a hole in the rubber to oil the chain, but no hole in the body to allow the oil to enter.

Has anybody modified one by drilling the body to allow the oil to enter and force the slipper against the chain?

It's the double-row Sprint chain.

the replacement tensioner i ordered for mine was same way, so i just stuck the new foot in the old tensioner body & put it in. only wear was on the foot face itself. may be an option-?
