REAR SUSPENSION DAMPERS

Does anyone have a rear damper to hand to measure the extended and contracted lengths?
Asking as If I order lowered springs I don`t want dampers bottoming out and want to see if there is an alternative.

If you are going to buy new shocks and springs you may as well Get some of Hamilton classic avo rear Coilovers.

No damper to hand at the moment, but surely something to bear in mind ...

Could be a little disconcerting to know the car is bottoming out on the shock and not the bump stop. Have you received any word from AVO as to why the recommended shock for the TR7 is too long?

I didn't bother as I got a set of brand new Koni's at the time ...

As for the measurements, taken from a proven set of Koni's;
• Fully compressed ± 305mm
• Fully extended ± 495mm
Both measurements taken between the retaining rings for the rubber bushes
