Bearing and Seal Tools

Postby dursleyman » 18 Jan 2013 22:15

I came across a set of bearing and seal tools advertised on Ebay and wondered if anyone has any thoughts or experience of this type of kit.

Item.....120908197926

I have always used a drift to deal with the bearings and a suitable sized socket to put the seals in. Works good most of the time.

I have the Snap On version of the same kit, one of the best tools I have ever bought.

As a former IBM customer engineer (office products repair person in non-IBM speak) it's always nice to have the right tool for the job. I spend the money on the tool rather than get a garage to do the job (it's like getting a tool for free). You can usually find a socket to do the job but if the price is right go for it. So many tools....so little space.[:p]
