O series,

I have pictures of my SJW538S from gaydon references are T-108218.psd to T-108226.psd

The last three show alot of additional small tubes / wires along the drive train and exhaust shields is this "Environmental Chamber Testing" or "Hot & Cold Chamber Testing". Lastly gaydon informed me the pictures references japenese TR7 (D Leopold) 1978.

Any thougth's on my car registered firstly to the Power train and foundry Div longbridge 08/11/77 and then leylands Cars power Train Div Cawley Coventry 26/06/78 and sold on the 03/04/80 by triumph used car centre, Proprieters minicar Mart Watford way, Hendon, London.

Looking through the lists of cars in this fascinating report on Canley Classics website, one of the registrations of an O series car that is listed as scrapped June 81 rang a bell with me, I was sure I had seen that number on a car not so long ago.

A trawl through my many TR7/8 pictures proved me right. A BR Green USA spec DHC is very much alive & well, except that is is now a RHD red TR8 DHC. I was admiring it at the TR Register meet at Malvern in 2010.

Quite a famous car that one Tony. Similar number to the calendar cover car.
