Postby 511stroker » 29 Aug 2012 16:11

Hi i have been offered a tr7 f40 look alike that has no engine or gearbox for a good price. I know someone selling a 511 stroker motor quad turbo engine over 2000hp would this fit in the tr7 engine bay . Also what parts would i need to change to take this power!

You may need to strengthen the area where the rear suspension trailing arms attach to the body.

Can you see 2000 hp going through that spindly yellow sill frame? I see a pretzel.

With 2,000hp you don't need a transmission, nor brakes, nor steering wheel. Just wings, tail rudder, flaps, and a three way control stick.

You will also need a Deity to be your co-pilot.

<font size="2"><font face="Comic Sans MS">2,000HP you say?
Well I won't say it's impossible, because with determination and cubic dollars just about anything is possible!
But I doubt whether the end result would be able to justify the effort and cost involved.
you may well be able to stuff such a monster engine into a TR-7, but such a car's longevity and drive-ability are still open to question.
However it all comes down to the reason why you want to do it.
If your reason is: "Because I can."
I'd watch the project with interest and say: "Fair enough." [:D]

If your reason is: "Because I like a challenge."
I'd applaud you and say: "You've found yourself one." [:D]

But if your reason is: "Because you can pick up the stuff cheap and just put it together for next to nothing in either cost or effort."
I'd say: <i>(in the immortal words of Roy Slaven & H.G Nelson) </i>"You need to drop your trousers, bend over and take a good look at yourself!" [:D]
