Heat through vents

Ok I didn't want to hi-jack the other heater thread but it did remind me of this question. Why do I get heat from the footwell vents and only cool air from the dash vents? This is with the selector on "car".

There should be heat to the footwell vents and the windscreen vents.
The other (dash)vents are fresh air only.

Ok so all is normal. I guess I just have to replace the foam seal. Thanks Beans.
