Hi,
There are plenty of happy owners running Wedges with uprated front brakes and standard master cylinders. If you're happy with how your brakes feel and perform then they're working fine for you. It's down to personal preference.
However, I'm not the only one who found the brake pedal travel excessive after uprating the front brakes. (Bigger calipers need more travel to move the pistons the same amount as before) I fitted an uprated m/cylinder / servo combo when Rimmers were having one of their sales and the brakes felt so much better afterwards. Braided hoses firm the pedal even more to the point of very little travel.
Andy's spot on about the 4 speed rear cylinders and fitting them. They add a bit of extra braking effort to the rear.
Hope this helps,
Adam
