Another year, another MOT passed

Postby busheytrader » 06 Aug 2011 13:34

It's really good to have a garage who knows our cars. The 7V8's brake switch decided to throw a wobbly on the test even though it was fine this morning[}:)] However it was made good to pass the test and I've now got a new switch to fit today.

In the bodyshop this lightweight Aluminium bodied Aston Martin was hiding in the wings waiting to be prepped for a cellulose respray. The owner who's had it since it was 3 years old, has already spent the equivalent of 4 mint UK original TR8's just to get it this far. He's worried that the final market value might make it too expensive too insure. I don't think we'll be having his problems.

Behind that was a BMW 840Ci in for some paintwork. All this in a small country garage. Ok, it's only 40 miles from the big smoke but you get the idea.

And mine passed on 01/08/2011 although it initially failed on the windscreen wipers lol. Hopefully try to put some decent mileage on it and attend a few meets.

Thank goodness we don't have any such nonsense, just send in pictures every 5 to 6 years to maintain our Collector Car status. Makes up for having to pay $60+ for a ferry to go off island to get to mainland.[:p]
