I got both mountings from Rimmers, the TR8 one (TKC2642) is definately much harder than the TR7 one (TKC1044). I think the Molyslip has reduced the axle noise conciderably & the new mounting has helped by not transmitting any remaining noise /vibration into the car. The difference is really quite amazing. I can now see the gear lever moving about a bit as the engine moves.
I didn't mention before but I also used some gearbox remote housing bushes between the gearbox subframe & the tunnel when I bolted it back in, this is also dampening out noise/vibration. I used a double locknut on the studs as you can't tighten them up quite as much without destroying the bushing.
