steering column shroud !

hi folks, does any body have a steering column shroud unit(the plastic two part pieces that go between the boss and dash) they could sell me as my 2 screws would not unscrew and broke inside. It looks untidy(and like i hotwired it) many thanks i will keep looking............[:(]

When part that holds the brass threaded bush sits inside the top shroud broke I repaired mine with glue & a small hose clamp. This repair seems to be going the distance.

There are 2 types of shroud designs I think for when the key was moved to the other side of the column. Not to mention RHD/LHD.

Try Robsport or S&S Prep. to see if they have a used part/s.

Hi Andy I think I might have a set in the garage somewhere,might take a couple of days to find [;)], I will let you know but I am pretty certain that i don't have any screws though.

hi and thanks(both of you), its black in colour. where the brass nut(screw thing is)just dissintergrated as i tried to unscrew it[:(!]but hay ho! shit happens[:D]

I only have a black one but the Grey ones were sprayed over black anyway, if you want it then send me a PM with your address and you can have it for the postage cost.

Hi Andy after much searching I can only find the half with the threads in,upper half,a repair was done to it on one of the thread inserts but it looks permanant even if it does look rough[;)].
Problem is it is black but you are welcome to it if it is any use.
