Hi,

Well, I met TriumphCMT tonight! He is a really nice young fellow. We need more members just like him that will keep out TR7s going when us old gezziers chroke off.

There were two TR7s and one TR8 at the meeting. There was another young guy there also, who owns a Spitfire, and his dad has the TR8.

I drove the 7 to San Antonio from Houston with no major problems. The high winds made the car wander a little but at 90 mph, it runs like it is on a string.

Maybe the oxygen is thinner over on that side of the pond. At 90 mph we're shifting into 5th gear. Time to let her loose just a bit.

I had the opportunity many years ago to drive at 160 mph for about 10 minutes. Now that would be a bad time for a deer to jump out!

90 mph!!! At 75 I'm passing most if not all the Miatas on the road. (not a bad thing). At these speeds a 3.46 diff would come in handy. But then I'm sensitive to the act of my timing chain tensioner disintegrating. Happened to a club member on his 7. What I would really like is a Spint chain on my 8v.

It was very nice to meet you also jclay! You can count on keeping my TR7 going. I'll never let it go!

Hope you have a safe trip home and try to stay out of the cops sight when doing 90mph!

P.S. I've done 110mph in the 7 a few times[}:)]

I have done it once. It was colder that a Polar Bears Behind today!

I had to finally remove the fresh air duct just to get a little heat to keep the ice off my windshield.

I did make it home with a new resolve to fix that darn heater!
