the wheel for tr7 TR8

Hi,
I am in search of any wheel rims which amount on the Tr7 and TR8!
With picture and the name.
I would like to make a page dedicated to wheel rims on my site.

Here's one. It's an aftermarket brand, American Racing Wheels, The model name of the wheel is Specter, and it's 13 x 5.5. It seems rather rare these days, as I've only seen it three other times, once on a Datsun, and two other times on TR7 photos of cars getting scrapped.

As I understand it syol would like the wheel rims (alloys) that where available back in the day. There couldn't have been that many given the odd PCD. Other than the original alloys I believe there were the equivalent to the Minilites. These alloys I got where apparently from a Lotus (don't know what model). They are old and could well be a concurrant wheel.

These were on the 1980 Lotus Esprit Essex, 81-87 Esprit S3, and the 87 Turbo Esprit that I know of. Perhaps they had different wheels available from Lotus as well, but I know these were used then. I assume they are 15", correct?

I was under the impression they are 14" and would be eligible for out collector plates (off the period and up to 1" larger than stock). I seem to remember I measured them. They've been put away so haven't checked. Would that still make them Lotus stock?

As wheels have gotten bigger and as the Triumph PCD is un unsual (used by Lotus, TR7, MGF) there are not a lot of choice in 13". Selection increases as you go to 14" and 15". Some manufacturers will drill the PCD into alloy blanks. Many people have gone to spacers to alter the PCD to something more common giving a greater choice of alloy.
