Another Wedge on the road

Postby bahbzilla » 10 Nov 2010 15:51

Even with the fuse panel issues I posted about, which mostly seem to be headlight related, this car is now back in action. The before photo is the original engine with a 10 year old blown head gasket, and completely seized. What a joy to finally drive it after 3 years of greasy fingernails and busted knuckles![:D]

Congratulations, that looks fantastic!

I know you will enjoy driving it even more because of the work you have put in.

I guess you can attribute the color to attitude, sunlight, and a couple of rattle-cans of Krylon "International Harvester Red"(engine compartment only), which is a surprisingly good match for Carmine Red.[:p]

Thanks for all of the kind words. I only have about 30 miles behind the wheel as of right now, but the mechanicals seem solid. If I can get my fuse panel sorted out over the winter, I will be tearing up the roads come springtime!
