Head lamps

I will re-paint the head lamps and since there is a bit of corrosion I would like to treat this aluminium alloy proprely.
Somebody suggested a procedure a few years back but I cannot find it.
Someone have the proper method.

Hi John,

When i sprayed my, lucky for me i had a NOS pair, after preparing then as they were very rough finnish i used a good quality 'etch' primer and then sprayed as normal from there, two years later they are still good.
