I went over to the mainland for a family picnic we have evey year year to celebrate Dad's birthday (he's 93).
also had a ride in my sister's new JC Works Mini(208hp).
Anyway, on the ferry ride over while waiting for the ferry to dock, two mid east young men (mid-20's) walked up and asked in accented english, "What is the make of the car?" "Triumph" I said. "What country?" "England" I said. "England? Oh, wow." they said incredulously.
On the way to catch the ferry back a blacked out modified Japanese something pulled up even and the young guy asked. "What year?" "1980" I shouted. You've got me by eight years he said indicating the year of his car. "It's unrestored" I told him. "Did you own it from new?" he asked. "No I bought it off eBay, it's from Sacramento". "How much did it cost?" he asked. I shouted "4 grand by the time I got it here." "What a bargain!" he said. The light changed and I drove off as he turned left.
