Lenham hard top

Postby Ianftr8 » 12 May 2010 14:04

Last night I picked up a Lenham hard top from PaulW.It needs a bit of work but most importantly it is missing the rubber seal that sits between the car body and the hard top.

firstly can someone show me what profile I need to find and if anybody has any suggestions on where to look I would be most gratefull.

I tried Rimmer Bros because their website said they stocked most parts, would seem they only have odd bits of glass available now.

Cheers
Ian

No idea what the seal is like but you could try
www.classiccar-trim.com
or
www.woolies-trim.co.uk
when you find out.

Thanks Alan,

Had looked at Woolies and have some ideas - if anybody else has an actual top I would just like to get some ideas.

Cheers

Hi Ian

I will try and get into the garage this weekend and see whats on my hardtop. If possible I will also get a photo or two.

Give me a shout if you want to come and have a look yourself.

Cheers

Gary

I have a lenham hard top but mine also needs a re-furb the rubber on the back of mine is obviously wrong because its white and looks like the sort of thing you would seal your tiles with in your bathroom having said that the rubber on the front (where it fastens on to the windscreen)looks to be original and looking at it looks like it would also work for the rear i'll also post some pics at w/kend
and will be watching this thread for ideas of a replacment for the (tile strip)

It rides again..... and again wehey!!!!!!!

heres some piccies i also took some with it resting on the car, don't think i'll keep it gold, I'm thinking blue too match the car as I allready have a black hood so when it evetually gets used it will feel a little different, don't think they'll help much but here goes:

Thanks very much for that, it gives me some idea as to what I should be looking at.
My roof must be the economy version as it has all plastic windows and non opening quarter lights, it even has a sprayed in furflex rooflining.

Cheers again,
Ian
