Those cutouts on the back of the center console are an exact fit(or extremely close) for a standard rectangular rocker switch. Next time you have the interior apart you could go ahead and drill a hole thru there and file the hole out to the lines molded in the panel. Pop in 2 rocker switches...then you are ready for any future switches to be added to the dash. Plenty of room for wires in that area too.
I have seat warmers in my car and the switches for those are just below the rectangular cutouts. The switches for the seat warmers are ~1/2" round. Seat warmers make it easier to leave the top down.
