Enjoyed the day alot, I must say a big thankyou to Chris Turner for loaning me his early FHC. Sterling work by the commitee as well, I counted 55 cars at one stage.

Can someone get some photos posted?

Car of the day was a great choice as well (WAC272S, TR8 FHC)

I too have to say thanks very much, firstly to you John for giving me the tow start (hopefully my man can retune the carbs so its reliable like it always had been - before the MOT farce on emissions)good to meet you. Secondly to everybody who organised the day isn't it brilliant to meet up with old freinds and new.
Thirdly to Paul and Rob for allowing me to join them in our return trip.

A great day - and Le Mans Classic next week to follow!
Cheers

<font color="purple"><b>Hi all

Had a great time I arrived a 2pm on Saturday so only managed to get the outside of the tent up With the help of Laurence (Lebochet9) and Phil.H

Before it was time to go on the run Laurence had his Modern car with him so he jumped in to my car

Lovely roads and I loved the tunnel where the V8 cars all seamed to slow down just so we could here that V8 noise as they accelerated out the tunnel ...[:p]

Although the expected happened that some of us got lost ...[:o)]

We stopped at the side of the road and as I had the sat nav in the car we soon found the pub very quickly ...[:)]

And met up with the rest for a drink and a chat At this stage met up with Paul W and every body putting faces to names

Then on to the showground to finish the tent

Image

After this it was time to eat and have out 1 hour wait for out food to arrive ...[:(]

( do not fear we managed to get a free round of drinks in for this ( Result … [^] )

And would you believe that was his starter ..[:0]( only joking ...[:D] )

Image

But we did miss the start of the quiz …[:(]

At this point I would like to say thanks to John Clancy for the great Video You don’t see rally cars doing things like that any more

Sunday was great with a great turn out also Robsport and Rimmer setting up allowing me to purchase some needed parts

although I though it was a shame that S+S did not set up ...[?]

and who bought the Blue V8 on Robsports trailer …[;)]

I was really chuffed as I received a spot prize ( now that was unexpected ) but very nice to have my car recognised

I left Billing at 4.30pm to head back home sitting at a steady 60mph all the way music up only stopped once

To have a strong coffee and a toilet brake arrived home to the house at 11.30 pm

put car in the garage and was in bed sleeping for 11.50pm...[|)]

Wow, I have never seen so many Triumphs together, in one spot, let alone 7s.

Even with your weather, there are times I could get jealous of you blokes.

Thanks to everyone that came at the weekend, it was nice to see the rally car display and so many different cars. Thanks to Stevie for the pictures these show just how many TRs have been personalised to suit their owners. Thanks also to John Clancy, his films on Saturday night were super, it was nice to see the Top Gear programme featuring our cars, especially as the Pageant blue FHC was making its first appearance since restoration. Lastly thanks to Kevin ,Phil and the rest of the committee for organising the event.

Hi,
ROB WHAT HAVE YOU DONE [?][?][?][?][?][?][?][?][?]
COULD IT BE THE SALE OF THE NICE DROP HEAD V8 FROM BOBSPORT [?][?][?][?][?]
I was only joking that Mrs Rob would'nt notice the difference between your FHC and the V8 because they are both the same colour so was safe to buy [;)]
YOU HAVE GOT TO TELL US NOW [:0]
Excellent pictures Steve, free beer!! I am camping over next year for sure [:D]
Cheers John

Super weekend, well worth the effort. Since most have been thanked already I'll just like to add Neil Sawyer to the list for all his pointers and tips and being an all round nice guy. I'd also like to give a special mention to my bl@@dy windscreen wipers which packed up with over 200 miles to go in heavy rain. Finally arrived home dazed and confused at 2.30am.

Will get pix up on website soon.

This year the TRDC National will have a TR7/TR8/TR7 V8 day at Billing Aquadrome, Northampton on 6th July.
Please accept this as a sincere invitation from the TR Drivers Club to attend this event - All TR7/8/V8 owners from all clubs are invited.
No stuffy concours will be running, but there will still be trophies and spot prizes up for grabs. To make things even more interesting some very special sporting vehicles are attending making up a display of cars not to be missed.
Billing will charge a day rate of £10 to enter the park if you mention the TR Drivers Event.

Noticed one of the rally cars with the name Neil Sawyer. I think he was one of the previous owners of my TRV8 reg LKG 747X. If anyone knows him, tell him the car is burbling away in Cardiff now[:D]. Couldn't make the Billing show, looks like it was a great day I missed out on[:(]. Oh well! Malvern next, anyone going[?]

Hi, Neils a good friend of mine, I see him quite regular, will mention that you have his car. He won the TR Register sprint and hillclimb championship in that car.
