TRDC national weekend

Postby Chris Turner » 17 Feb 2008 17:11

The national weekend is once again at Billing Aquadrome on the first weekend in July the 4th, 5th and 6th. It is a TR7/8 day so everyone is welcome, even non members. I know its 5 months away but its nice to get it in the diary early.

Chris,

Looking forward to billing, especially with last years bad weather. What I can gather this time there will areas set a side for each example of the TR7 & TR8 range going from the early Speke FHC's.

I am hoping to be going down in my Speke TR7 Sprint so I can meet up with the next car registration SJW 539S.

Hello all you wedge pilots out there, Plans are being firmed up ready for the TR Drivers Club National weekend.
Billing will charge a day rate to enter the park, so don’t forget to mention you’re attending the TR Drivers Club event for your rally discount, once inside, entry onto our field is free.

This year the Sunday will incorporate the UK’s National TR7 and 8 day.

Please accept this as a sincere invitation from the committee of the Club - All owners from all clubs are invited. No stuffy concours will be running, but there will still be trophies and spot prizes up for grabs - which mean all cars attending, will have a chance of winning something.
To make things even more interesting Chris Turner is helping organise some very special sporting vehicles making up a display of cars not to be missed.

I’ll let Chris add the cars attending to this thread to wet your appetites for the event when he gets confirmation of the cars

So make a date in your diaries now for the weekend of the 4th 5th & 6th July –If you only make one National make this the one.
See you there ! Regards,Phil [:D]

As Phil mentions above the TRDC would like to see as many competition TRs as possible at the National weekend at Billing Aquadrome in July.
I am asking for owners of all types of competition TRs incuding replicas and look alikes to bring their cars to the event.I am on holiday at the moment so I will post more details when I am back in the UK.

Well we've had a planning meeting today and this year's National is not to be missed. Let's see if we can make it the biggest gathering of 7s and 8s since they left the factory...

Once you drive the car into the trailer, how do you get out?

I don't have a plan at the moment..prefer to make a weekend of it though as it's a long way to go. Gives me a chance to get away and use the camper. Wife not able to come (conveniently) so I'll be on my lonesome...
