The theme for the TRDC stand is Prototype development. We have a tribute to the late Tony Lee in the form of a replica of the 1974 prototype. We also have courtesy of HORIBA MIRA some of the modern test equipment that is used for automotive testing today including a steering robot. If you haven't seen it before you will be amazed how all the equipment' fits in the cars these days,
We also have a fantastic display of older TR's one being the TR3 Beta replica and also AGC5 the very early Tr7 that has fantastically been restored by Roy.
John Clancy will be there with his DVD collection and Andrew will be promoting his new book. We also have a couple of guests that are popping in and helping out.
Not to forget details of the "Bullet Run" an event planned for next June will be launched. Look out for more info at the show.

Current guests are:
Gordon Birtwistle, Triumph High Speed Development Engineer, will be on the club stand on Friday and Saturday. And Brian Culcheth, British Leyland and Triumph 'Works' race and rally driver will be joining us on the Saturday.
Ted Schumacher may be coming over from the USA. Ted was a US factory supported Triumph race driver and team manager and British Leyland dealer. He still is a dealer in fact running TSI Automotive in Pandora, Ohio. Ted is still looking to sort out time off and travel plans but if he doesn't join us at the NEC we may well have him on the club stand at Stoneleigh again.
Paul Lewis is producing the reproduction of the disguised prototype as photographed with John Lloyd and Tony Lee at Bwlch y Groes. But probably the most interesting car this time around will be the TR3 BETA replica as currently seen on the cover of the TR Driver. Gordon B. did the high speed testing of the original 'Black BETA' at MIRA so this should prove to be extremely interesting. A great looking car that led to the subsequent TR4. History in the making with the TR Drivers Club.

NEC prep in full swing - ACG5 - Already double-waxed ready for gloss sealant today, glass polished, engine bay cleaned. You can bet your bottom dollar that it will rain Wednesday and Thursday!
As for the second car - still torn which convertible to bring ... maybe pre-production, maybe 001 or maybe a gold one .....
Oh and in case anyone thinks I cleaned any of the cars ... nope, i'm in sunny Italy - my brother deserves the plaudits for the White one and S+S Preparations for the other.

It was my first show , and absolutely loved it. A few TR7's about and got some absolutely brilliant help on a few things I can do with mine. I also picked up an owners manual and key fob along the way
.
I did see some rather fine TRDC T-Shirts etc worn by some on the stand are they for sale anywhere?
Anyway - next year I have decided to get a weekend pass
