Three Shows In a Week No.1 ( Pic Heavy )

Postby john 215 » 26 Jul 2015 19:11

Hi,

Been to three cars shows this week, first was last Sunday ( 19/7 ) was at The Plough Pub, always a good place for a car show IMHO, Wingfield. Only in its third year but growing each year, a few pictures of cars that caught my eye -

Totally loved this Ford truck, anyone who restored this IMHO would ruin it ! Oily rag car, why do so many think that every classic has to shiny with every part replaced ??

Some great cars thereJohn,
I am totally with you on the oily rag car.
I know someone who imported a Ford F100 from the states complete with original signage on the side, he's done a complete nut and bolt job on it.
It looks fantastic but lacking the patina it once had

Hi Gaz,

Glad I am not the only one who thinks this way PHEW ! As you know do one or two shows each year and it is getting more and more common to have a ' survivor car ' rather than a new old stock car bolted to a original door mirror :D if you know what I mean ! !

Personally would love to run a TR7 in that condition but most have had work done on them nowadays, find a real barn find, make safe and just put on the road, dust and everything !

All the TR's at Malvern last week this was my favourite and the one I would take home -

Restoring that would be like getting Banksy to touch up the Mona Lisa !
