Hear, hear - well done to Simon Bryan and everyone involved in making this a very special national weekend. Today must have been the best day we've had for many years. We haven't enjoyed a field full of cars like that since 2006 and thanks to the SD1 turnout today we must have had even more cars than then.

Susanne and I really enjoyed it and it was lovely to see everyone in one place at the same time. Great to see and speak to you all.

Icing on the cake was finally having Tony Lee there. What a wonderful gentleman our Tony is and I hope many of you captured him forever on camera for posterity. He very much enjoyed meeting us all as I'm sure you know from the little speech he made. He's signed all the photos and certificates for those of us on the anniversary run and will be joining us at the Canley Standard-Triumph memorial and then accompanying us to the final destination at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon. Yes, we've had to switch from the Coventry Transport Museum but more details on that later.

Couldn't of said it any better myself John.

That was the best national for me for many a year. Meeting and talking with Tony Lee was a very special moment indeed.

The pressure will be on next years event now to be as good if not better than this years.

Thanks Simon, it gets better every year, bringing in the other clubs was a great idea and worked really well.
Also thanks to John Clancy for bringing in Tony Lee and Harris Mann who continue to help and support our club on these special occasions.
Last but not least thank you to everyone who attended the weekend and brought along some super cars.

Hi,

Good point Chris, well done John, Mr Lee was a fascinating gent to talk too, how many people know that they developed a 1600 cc V8 [:0][:0][:0] for the Spitfire based cars [}:)] and they actually produced and fitted several of these engines and even fitted them to several cars. You can only learn this stuff talking to gents like Tony. Unfortunately had to judge the car's, well done to all the winners, but could have honestly listen to him all afternoon. Will be great too see him at Gaydon cannot wait [8D]

Cheers John

Amazing pics my friend. I think you should be the one to take the race track pics in September. You don't need me anymore!

Michelle - I'm sure I speak for all the TRDC members when I say that you'll always be needed! John's good, but he lacks an artistic bent!

So sorry you couldn't accompany Roy on Sunday

Hi Michelle,

Great to hear from you [8D], thanks for the comment but will never be anywhere as good as yourself, Andrew is correct you can either see a good shot or you cant, it cant be taught its a natural thing.

Take care,

Cheers John
