Much better than the show we went to... Perhaps we should have gone to Luton!

Love the Atlas - and the Lancia - and that little Blue-and-White one!Any idea what it is?

Thanks for sharing those John. In the US we don't see many of those cars. I can't even identify many of them. It looks like it was an extremely interesting show.

Hi,

Thanks for the comments [8D] Yeah come up next year Andrew, it is a stones throw from junction 11 on M1 and just gets bigger every year [8D]

I was hoping Andy may see the Atlas camper as I am sure his brother is into them, apparently the only one on the road in the UK and was a stunner -

There was a gent there with this mark 1 Cavalier, no surprise really the show was a mile away from where they built the things ! But a announcement came out " would he return to the car ? As the first owner of it was waiting to talk to him " how bl88dy awesome would that be [:0]

I have seen some very similar artwork on cars & bikes at shows recently, talking to the owners of the vehicles I found out that a lot of it is being done as a "wrap" now, rather than airbrush. The wrap seems to give an amazing 3D effect.

Great pics John, always like to see your reports!

My brothers got a Morris J2 minibus, and an Austin J2 van so you were close Maxwell.
John, he's into all vans and commercials so would undoubtedly love to see this Atlas van. It does look really nice. [:)]

Hi Andy,

Sorry mate I knew it was something of a similar age

I think its great that people like your brother save commercial vehicle's, they are literally work horses so tend to end up in knackers yard when worked out. They are a important part of our motoring heritage.

Cheers John

Over here they were sold as Triumph vans. One of our members has one. You don't see many Opels around, I fancied one back in the day. The other day when I was picking up a throw out bearing for a friend's TR3 there was an Opel parked at the back of a car dealers shop. I didn't go in to have a look but might one of these days. It looked in pretty nice shape.

The Hailwood replica Ducati looks great, reminds me that I saw a miracle happen in 1978.

Hi John
Brilliant photos, what camera do you have? I like the two Rapiers especially the convertible as I had one for about five years back in the day, also like the BMW 635 CSi as we had a 633 CSi auto which we sold about five years ago and regretted it ever since[:(]
Certainly looks a good show to go to though, maybe next year for us.
Thanks for sharing the show with us all.
Cheers
Moe
