**** British Car Day St. Thomas Park, Hudson, Quebec ****

Image

This will be the 6th biennial show. (the show alternates every year with the Beaconsfield “Picnic in the Parkâ€￾).

This is A fun gathering where British car enthusiasts can get together, enjoy "our" cars, meet up with old friends and make new acquaintances.
Access to the show is free for British cars.
Goody bags are provided to the first 300 cars registered.
The registration is done on the day of the show.

Something new this year, and for those who would like to make a weekend event of it, Saturday 26 May there will be a road and brewery tour meet starting at Finnegan’s Flea Market, followed by happy hour and free hamburgers and hot dogs on the BBQ at the Chateau du Lac(Hudson Hotel)

Most of the activities are organized around picturesque old Hudson village, the flea market and the rural roads of the area so that there will be plenty of interesting things to do and see even if you are not “car orientedâ€￾

Hope to see a good turnout from the wedge community!

Looked like it was a massive turnout, about 7 wedges showed up.
-One barn find 77 , Marks coupe,my car and it's twin, a red seven dhc, and two very good looking 8's (one of each flavor)

I've never seen a TVR wedge before, and i got to see two up close and personal, more Spitfires than I ever remember, and a few other oddities amongst the regular crew of MGB's, Minis and TR6's.
We were blessed with beautiful weather and some very fine cars.....just too bad I couldn't hang around the whole day this time , as soccer commitments kinda got in the way)

Here's some of my favorites

Here are some of the pic's I took also. Had a great conversation with the original purchaser of my coupe (ron's first picture). He bought it at age 20 in Montreal and was happy to see it was still in such good shape. He also said he had made a point to always store inside and that it almost never even saw rain. He took a few pictures of the car and imediatly sent them to his wife, they had their first date in the car and used it for their honneymoon trip. It's always facinating to meet up with someone after so many years when they finde a piece or their past. The last picture is of my son picking up the participants prize bag we won, lots of little trinkets and a nice POR15 starter kit (black) that I will put to good use.
