Taking advantage of the sunshine\mini heatwave were having at the moment
i took the TR for a drive and realised it was the first time i have driven it with hood down at night time i ended up driving down the prom. The illuminations are on at the moment which brings me to the point of this post in the events section.......

Would anyone be up for an illumination run (bright light city will set your soul on fire).............

John / Gaz

As a Lancashire lad in exile in Northants, I really want to do this next year.

Talking to our Blackpool Buddy Gaz it is the 100th anniversary of the lights next year so even more reason to go.

Let's do it.

Hi,

I will be there, if Simon and I can drive the best part of 200 miles for this then I am sure some more local owners can make it.

Cheers John

Blackpool lights run 2012....

There are now a few of us wanting to do this and I am open to suggestions.
I am thinking about meeting up on a (date not yet decided) Saturday and and if everybody is up for it going for a bit of a road run around the country lanes surrounding Blackpool. then we could stop off at one of the country pubs where we could get a bite to eat or at one of the local fish 'n' chip restaurants then off the Illuminations for the run of the lights....
I am thinking along these lines as it will probably only take about an hour to run the lights and there will few people traveling quite a few miles for an hour so we may as well make a good afternoon of it.
Oh and we could collect a few Quid for one of the local charities (Donnas Dream House)

So come on who's coming, lets make a day to remember

I have just found out that the charity that I want to collect for on this lights run has been targeted by some mindless idiots with nothing better to do with there lives than. .......I dont know but it just sickens me to here about stuff like this

Why set fire to a place like this

here i a link to there website: http://www.donnasdreamhouse.co.uk/#/don ... 4528220948

and a link to the story: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-la ... e-16318084

I spoke the Len curtis (the owner) about the lights run on the 19th he thought it sounded like a great idea and was looking forward talking more about it in the new year Any way guys if the charity needed help and supprt before it certainly needs it now so the more the merrier come on guys we need more cars and people on this run
