30th Anniversary meeting 24/9/2011 TR Drivers Club

Postby john » 07 Sep 2011 09:18

30th Anniversary Meeting
Saturday, 24th September, 2011 at 12.00 noon

It is almost thirty years, since the TR Drivers Club held their first meeting at the Squirrel public house in Hurtmore, and we are planning to hold a special celebration, there.
We have been given special permission to use the field at the back of the pub, seen in the photo below with a hot air balloon.

Everyone who owns a TR, club member of not, is invited to come along, and join in with us on this special day.
Rooms are available if you have a long journey, and food will be served on the Sunday. The choice from the menu is yours, but we will need to have an idea of numbers, so please let me know if you can come.
The pub lies directly alongside the A3, south bound take the Hurtmore, Godalming turn off. The Squirrel is only 100 yards on the left; north bound on the A3 take the Hurtmore, Godalming turn off, turn right at the T junction, go under the A3 and take the first left, and the Squirrel is on the right.
From the M25, take junction 10 and travel south on the A3 for 12 miles. Go through Guildford for two miles and then take the Hurtmore, Godalming turn, and follow directions as above.
If you want further information please contact Val McMillan, on 01276 682 712, or email valerie.mcmillan@ntlworld.com..
Alternatively if you want more information with regard to accommodation, etc. please contact: info@thesquirrel-hurtmore.co.uk.

I spoke to Chris Turner about this this morning. I will be there and so will Chris. It's a jaunt, but worth it to celebrate 30 years of the TR Drivers Club. Think I will stay over somewhere on the Saturday night.

Hi Chris \ and others. See you there in the Smart Roadster, stuffed full of spare TR-bits to sell. Make sure you all bring your credit cards and small change. Guess I'll leave the set of Appliance Wheels \ tyres and the green tinted screen at home!

Unfortunately I can't make the trip tomorrow as we have an illness at work and I need to do the job. I am really gutted as I was going to my cousins on the Sunday in Guildford and I haven't seen him in 3 years.

I hope you all have a good day.

That's a shame John.

I was looking forward to seeing the Sprint.

Confirming I'll be there in the 77 coupe.
It's first outing.

See you there.

Roy
