John

Where is the picture of you and your trophy?

Next year we will have a stand, looks like we have about 10 attendees already.

At least we will not be the only TR7s in the show.

A good day all round, a TR7 with a trophy for best car, I got an SD1 powered steering rack for £20 and we outnumbered the TR6 boys by 12:1[:D]
Oh, and my persian aqua DHC doesn't look half bad in the photo either[:I]

Nice to meet everyone again and I did my good deed for the day by helping a couple get their horse and cart out of a ditch after some b*sta**d forced them off the road in his van[:(!] on my way home

John

Forget the little shower of rain at the end, I have got sunburnt on my neck, and boy does it hurt.

Good day, good cars, good people, Great Football result.

Bring on next year.

loved the marina coupe, nearly bought one of those a long while back....... 1986 i think it was, they wanted 200 quid, it was purple..........[:0] i changed my mind, looked at an allegro that yr too but even then the gearchange on one i tested was like stirring soup.......... am sure it was 86 anyway,......... not long into married life i know that, ended up with an hc viva...... it replaced my hillman hunter............ wow those were the days

Hi Ron,

No mate, its a Allegro Vanden Plas, a very up markey version of the Allegro. Featured a leather interior, wilton carpets, wood inserts etc. Powered by 1500 E series all the one's i have seen and worked on have been auto. They cost a lot more than a standard car when new.

Cheers John

We're considered a weird bunch for being passionate about Wedges...........

but John, your Allegro, Maxi and Marina interest is worrying me[:0]
