This 4-day rally takes place again next week, and we are entered in the TR7V8, along with a couple of others, Ian Wilson being one of them.

Weather has been stinking hot here this week, 4 days at 39, 40 due on Sunday so got to hope it cools down next week - but long range forecast is for 38 Thursday, first day of rally! [V]

Have fun, & be careful. I'm sure you know the one about first
finishing.

At that temperature you'll have to watch out for melting tarmac.

I only raced there once, at Mallala, & we had three bits of track
melting during practice. Lots of fun, the first time you hit it, in
a Brabham, but it was on a look & see lap for us, so no where near
as close to the limit as you blokes will be.

Have fun & remember, if you approach a corner where a big crowd has gathered, tell your driver to slow down.

Never say die. At least not while you're still breathing.

Nice footage of Ian Wilson from day 2 at approx 0:55 to 1:15 and 2:38 to 2:50

mms://wme.silverstoneevents.com/silverstoneevents.com/Day-2.asf

The silence at the beginning is in tribute to driver Gary Tierney and co-driver David Carra who lost their lives while participating on day 1.

Seems Wilson's car attracted the official photographer's eye:

For people that do not follow the blob section, I now have some in-car vids from the event up on YouTube, (finally!)

Search for nadg63 and it should come up with them, failing that go to this one and hit the 'more from nadg63' link:-
