Pass for the event arrived through the post this morning - will be my first event with TR Drivers Club so hope to meet a few of you all on the Sat or Sunday.
Just now have to get the TR out of storage on Monday & see what fluids are underneath after 7 months of inactivity & will it start - will be a good shake down trip along the M62 or RAC Recovery back !

Got my pass through today as well.

Driving up on the Saturday morning, early.

I'm looking forward to the drive north, perhaps I'll get to see
some of you on the M6.

If you see the little yellow coupe give us a wave.

I will look forward to seeing your car Neil,as well as all
the other fine wedges on display.

See you all there.

Roy

Shame really, as it clashes with the International Auto Ecosse again [B)]
Which (looking at the entry list so far) means 5 wedges will be playing around in Scotland that weekend [8D]

Hello All,
A very rare RHD pre production convertible is attending the show with the Standard Triumph Group, I have invited him to join us for at least one of the days, through his club organiser. If he does manage to join us it will be very interesting to see if there are any differences between the later production models.

This car was traded in during the £2000 scrappage scheme for a new car, luckily the gentleman concerned worked at the garage and 'stumped up' the 2 grand to save this little rarity!!

I can't wait to see it, if it doesn't make it's way over to our stand you can find it on Plot E20 on your site plan.

Also entered is that amazing red customised fixed-head coupe that was at the TR Reg Harrogate doo last year! That will certainly turn a few heads!!! Also a gold DHC is coming from Belguim, that too was at Harrogate last year, I think?

I've had several phone calls from TR7 fans who are just coming to see the cars!! The event is listed in several Triumph publications, so hoping to get a good burst of late entries!!!

See you all there, and thank you for supporting this annual TR7 Special .....can't wait!!
Cheers
Stuart.

Traded in for scrappage?? Aaaargh! The bloke who saved it deserves a medal[:)] I shall look forward to seeing it (and all the other 7s & 8s).

I'm travelling up with Roy, bit of an expedition for us Southerners going so far up North[:D] It will take us most of Saturday to get there! It will be a good weekend.

Tony & Roy,
Thank you for supporting this event and the TR7 marque. Take it easy, have a safe journey up! The rest of the show is fully booked, tons of stuff to see, already turning trade stands away too!! Some really great autojumble stalls booked, car restoration specialists, classic car dealers, car mart etc etc!

Will keep booking in the TR7's & 8's until the last post for passes!!!! I think Chris and Jim are hoping for a record on this one, and hopefully some new members!!!
Cheers
Stuart.

Thanks Stuart.

We're both really looking forward to it.

One question, do we have to be there and on site before 10.30 am or am I not reading it right ?

Going to have to set of a bit earlier if that's the case.

Roy

Sorry!, yes. There is a vehicle movement restriction from 10:30am - 4:00pm. Insurance requirement for events with large visitor numbers. You can't see the grass for people at peak times, so necessary I'm afraid.

For long distance travelers though, you are allowed the extra nights camping (Monday night) if you want. This enables you to leave as late as 12 noon Tuesday (still part of bank holiday) for a steady drive home (no extra camping charge).

Thanks!

John,

Looking at doing a road run on the sunday night shortly after the shows finishes, but if required nothing stopping interested parties doing the run on the saturday if required.

really depends on what time you were thinking of heading off on Sunday?
