I'm in the Strathaven hotel with Gaynor, she said from now on I should tell her about events and let her sort it out, could have been worse we were originally camping at the show, I bought a new tent today but decided to drive part the way and get a hotel but here we are, so if you fancy a pint come on over and I will buy you a drink!!

This Sunday, folks.

Worth a visit if you can make it, wedge or not....

350 cars booked so far and the weather doesn't look too bad.

Cheers

Graham

0/4 possible wedges turned up, probably a good idea given the conditions... Plenty of other Triumphs though, from Stags to Spitfires.

Weather awful all day including light rain, heavy rain, very heavy rain, solid unremitting rain and torrential downpours plus high winds and hailstones to break up the monotony.

Pity the poor soul who came all the way from Shetland on a 1938 Rudge motorcycle, or the others who came in a 1926 Bentley with no weather equipment...

There's always next year - who knows, I may even bring my own TR7! Here's a picture of my (whisper it) MG V8 instead with a couple of its rear-drive pals.

I'll invite everyone again to next year's show if someone else can sort out the weather.

At least we made over £2,000 (and counting) for charity.

Cheers

Graham

Hi Konnie

Thanks for turning up.

Whereabouts were you on the day? Clearly null points to me for not spotting you... Difficult to see through the downpours.

I spent most of the day looking after the Ford Sidevalve Owners Club stand which really means hiding from the constant rain under other people's gazebos. If you saw a green 100E shell on a trailer that was mine.

Cheers

Graham

Still can't believe I didn't see your car given that it's almost in direct line of sight from my two... That massive Mini must have been hiding it...

Anyway, the first year we had stunning weather, this year was horrific so hopefully next year will be somewhere between the two.

No probs, Dycecooper - maybe next year you can make it with your new Triton car. Warning: it's both in my favourite colour and it's got my initials on the number plate so it might get nicked....

Cheers

Graham
