Yep I trekked down from Spalding ,Lincs total trip of around 300 miles. The snow was deep in places but not a problem with a little care and patience. Decent turn out considering Brits are a bunch of wimps when a bit of white stuff falls, I think there were around 150 people there and about a dozen TR's throughout the day.
Interestingly the only TRs that were brought out were early cars 2/3/3a and 4 / 4a no TR6s or 7/8s - one came all the way from Devon in his TR3A which speaks volumes about the hardy, old skool TR man of old [:D]
There was some great old video footage on show during the day as well as fun games and competitions , music from 1970, images of the year etc then some speeches from founders and very early members including one guy who was there in 1970 in the same car he was in on Sunday!
They unveiled a plaque that will commemorate the occasion in the hotel foyer and we all tucked into real ale and birthday cake. We all came away with a commemorative mug, car sticker and aptly chosen TR Register ice scraper [;)] Good fun - nice day out.
