Looks like a very good show. I really like the full Grinnall treatment. The flares are bigger than mine. Did they make an entire new nose piece for those or was the Grinnall bumper just blended with the existing nose? I'm not so sure about the flat doors though. Regardless of what Pininfarina thought, I like our "swoop." Thanks for the photos.

Hi Jim,

Have a look here for more pictures -

http://www.forum.triumphtr7.com/topic.a ... C_ID=17301

I think they were made out of kevelar and fibre glass, i like the rounded boot and no lock, opened remotely inside the car.

Cheers John

I think the full Grinnall treatment serves to illustrate just how good the original TR7 style is in both fixed head and drophead form. Great styling Harris!

I tried to get Ian along (owner of the yellow TR7 coupe) to take a look at Roy Hankins yellow TR7 so he could see how good his could look just by painting the sills black. It's amazing how different the car can look with sleek looking original style. Beautiful. Roy, your car is even better looking in the flesh. Would have looked even better if Laura the cover girl could have come along too.

Hi John, thanks for that. I didn't even notice the rounded boot lid. I does look really good too. I'm not sure if the tail lights are better than the originals or not. Having three of them together was sure something. Thanks again for the photos.

Thanks very much John.

As much as I admire the time, effort and money that people
put into modifying their cars it's Harris Mann and his team
that got it spot on for me. He said to me at the show he enjoyed
seeing my very ordinary standard car, which made my day more than anything. He also picked me up on my front bumper alignment, he clearly still has an eye for the detail. I will have to get it sorted before the NEC if he's going to be there on the Friday.

Hi Ron,

The white FHC was one of the large oversea visitors, if i remember correctly was driven by an attractive young lady, funny how things stick in your head [}:)]. A huge show with porobaly another two dozen cars left outside tents around the camp site, got to be the biggest annual gavering of TR's in the world.

A picture of a few of the oversea visitors, they always gather on a Saturday evening in the show ring then drive around the site in convoy with flags horn sounding ect [8D]
