We have just completed the 10 Countires (2000 mile) run yesterday along with a handful of other TR7's. In 4 days we drove over 20 alpine passes including the infamous Stelvio and then spent yesterday blasting up the Autobahn at seriously high speeds.

My 7 didn't miss a beat all the way

It was right at the top of the pass, while crossing from Italy to Austria.
As I don't carry spare clutches across Europe,
the car will be brought home on a truck somewhere next week.

Car will be brought home from Austria somewhere next week.
Will take my time repairing it, as I'll take the opportunity to rebuild a gearbox and source a proper new clutch assembly.

this is a future trip id like to do, the same club was talking of a lap of america that would be a once in a lifetime

Thanks Andy - I hope all works out and we will see you and Gill there next time since you would love the driving. We met with Mike and he has some interesting ideas for a trip next year, so hope to hear from him shortly
