Postby PeterTR7V8 » 08 Jan 2009 09:52

A video invititation! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUAgFaJHjlE

Look, this is just a 3500km drive for you East coast Aussies. Wouldn't you love to spend 30-40 hours in your wedges?

(How did that Datsun get in the video?)

These nationals have been held in a different state each year, in
rotation. We had it in Queensland last year, & it was a real success.

Unfortunately the cost for the host state is going through the roof,
with the cost public liability insurance becoming ridicules. This
has led to a strong movement to make the things every second year,
which I think would probably slowly kill them.

Meanwhile, we'd best enjoy them, while we can. Perth is such a long
way however, I may try to rent a car, for the week.
