Is it possible to remove the three `silver spokes`from the later version of the steering wheel PKS1551 without damaging anything? They appear to be plastic mouldings-two long (horiz.L/R)and one short (vert.) Mine are looking a bit tired and could do with a repaint.
It would appear that the plastic `spokes` are a fixture, short of damaging something. Solved the problem for 99p with an A5 sample of matt silver vinyl wrap-can even do the job in situ and no masking reqired.

Sounds a good fix. I was tempted to answer yes as I was sure I had prised them off when I sprayed mine but then looked at the wheel I have in the garage and they seemed very tight so I left it not wanting to be the cause of any damage. The paint does scratch and mine could do with a respray (although a different wheel is now fitted) so might try your way. Where did you get the wrap sample?

They do pop off, though it is rather nerve racking. I've a small plastic trim tool which I used to prise them off.
Like others I got some suitable vinyl wrap off ebay, and wrapped them. Took me a couple of goes for me to be happy, but it wasn't to difficult. Just remember to use some heat to help get it around the corners.
