Re: Towing a TR7 for a short distance

Stick the bloody thing on a trailer or tilt tray truck! :D
It's not worth the pain and suffering buggerising about with A-frames which are illegal in some jurisdictions, such as here in the state of Victoria, Oz.

Re: Ignition Timing

Check your valve clearances, these engines are quite sensitive to them. You should also check for vacuum leaks, a common problem is the rubber carb mounting blocks deteriorate and crack, which will make the engine run like a hairy goat! As for timing settings, that would depend on what specification...

Re: J Clay R.I.P.

Sad news indeed, the strange thing is that I was thinking about him a week or so ago, I was wondering how he was getting on. Definitely not the answer I was hoping for.

Re: Engine Rebuild Advice

Also, I need to mount my block to my new engine stand, much like the thread here http://tr7triumph.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17978 . However I am struggling to find a source for the 5/16 x 3.5 x 24 TP bolts. Can anyone suggest a UK supplier? Thanks John If you can't find the bolts in the right leng...

Re: Can I fit Dolomite wheels on a TR7?

Sell the Dolomite wheels and get some that do fit properly, all that buggerising about isn't worth the pain and suffering!

Re: Removing a TR7 stuck brake drum

You'll need to measure the inside diameter of the brake drum to determine if it's still within specs

Re: TR7 Transporters

Not TR7s but here's a great old mid 70s pic of a car carrier road train carrying Chrysler Valiants (I had quite a few of these) on the upper deck https://images.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftse2.mm.bing.net%2Fth%3Fid%3DOIP.yu2NG_RSUWRsbuk0-HXLCQHaE7%26pid%3D15.1&f=1

Re: TR7 Transporters

Great 1970's photo. Nowadays the transporters carry far more thanks to the strange angles of the loaded cars. Couldn't be stranger than this! https://images.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fo.aolcdn.com%2Fdims-global%2Fdims3%2FGLOB%2Flegacy_thumbnail%2F750x422%2Fquality%2F95%2Fhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.blo...

Remember this TR7 ..?? EKR 237V (EKR237V)

The problem with links to ebay etc is that in 6 months there is no image any longer and just a whole pile of discussion about something that no one else can see! I was tempted not to add this comment! Nah that wont matter, this topic will probably sink like a stone down the list, once the ca...
